Water was pretty green down river and I couldn’t find a bass.

Hey captain Devin your welcome on my boat anytime too

I ordered a mold and just made some 3/4 and 1oz. With some v lok hooks, unfortunately a 5/0 hook is a small diameter than I usually use but I don’t think it will matter to trout that much.

This track, do you avoid going down the main river because of ship traffic? Just wondering? One of my worries is what if I get in the river and it’s not safe what would be my alternative route if I was going to down to pass a loutre.

I make my own jig heads up to 1/2oz but if anyone wanted to buy some 3/4, or 1oz I can get the molds and hooks. It cost me about $70 to buy molds and 100 hooks. I usually use victory hooks.

I’ve always did my own wiring. I usually use 16/6 armored cable from summit electric in Harahan, when doing a bass or bay boat.

I’m planning on using the drop shot a little more often if needed. I really look forward to fishing with jerk baits too when it cools down.
I use those keitech swim baits with an owner flashyswimmer for redfish. There are good baits.

I wish LAFB was around when I was right out of high school., all I had was Louisiana sportsman magazines. And then the forums which were only for bragging and very much not informative. So you definitely found one of the best resources and communities for inshore fishing. Welcome and good luck!

also your welcome to join me if you want.

i already converted them to gpx files! I just don’t want to say its the plan tomorrow and have my plans change, but i’m pretty sure its a fish til 12 day tomorrow and i’m going down river to pass a loutre wma area.

Ditto! I got aluminum pieces that need to be rewelded on just little tack welds which will melt the carpet on top of deck. I don’t see this getting done at all at a dealership.

I was on SaltyCajun for a few years, but it was more of a rant and brag site, eventually degraded to a site where people paid a membership for a gill net section where people posted porn garbage. I left that site around 10 years ago. I liked LAFB too and when it went to Facebook group, I eventually stopped posting. I like This format so much better. Just fishing, no garbage!
