Yes, it’s a race down there and I came in third place on Saturday because I’m running with a 90 Yamaha. Me and my buddy were crossing the Mr. go in the dark with me holding my phone flashlight up because my running light bulb blew out. We could only do about half speed all the way through those Bayou that lead you into The Mr. go onthe south side of the wall.

I watched the fishing report for August fishing (the one that said “Don’t do it!”) and put my boat in the shop for much needed repairs. Ready to go next weekend, so I’ll look at the weather and the tides and put together a plan

Nice, and I like that area, that’s the area we do the best in. I almost went up that way but I wanted to try a new area, and by the time 9:30 rolled around I didn’t feel like running all the way over there and find no water moving. Didn’t have the grind in me today

Thanks for reporting. That storm kicked all our asses as we all knew it would, but I’m like, just get out there. I’ve had days that look horrible that end up being productive. It’s all more productive than sitting on the couch

Yeah, those camps turn on sometimes but it’s been a while since I fished there.

No, not Riverside, there used to be a launch on the easy bank at a harbor which had a lot of boats in it down around the Pointe A La Hache ferry. I think it dumped you right into about Quaratine Bay. But if I was going to fish that area I’d just cross the river after launching at Fort Jackson

I have a buddy from Biloxi who wants to jump in my boat this weekend if I go, so I think I’ll either go out of the Rigolets and into Biloxi Marsh or meet at Hopedale and go down by the long rocks. The tide is going to start falling mid morning so I’ll plan a trip based on what cuts we want to fish on the way back in. I’ll post it

I used to launch at Fort Jackson and cross, and that’s not too too dicey, but yeah I know what you mean about Ostrich. I launched out of that harbor in Poydras once and the guy there told me how to get out, and I did and it worked, but I think it was more luck than skill.

I just want to hit some trout outside this weekend and until the fall comes, I’m getting lazy and resorting to plan redfish too much.

What about the camps around Cat Bay, would those be a good choice now? You can fish the other side of those islands. I haven’t done that in a while.

No areas in particular. Grand Isle is a long car drive through a lot of speed traps, and you can get to that area going down and launching at Myrtle Grove or even Port Sulphur. We used to do that, and you can fish on the way back in.
