Great report. I’m planning on going there next Saturday. Any advice or areas to hit would be great. Going to be posting a trip plan next week.

We caught a bunch of smaller ones in Lake Borgne, too. But had a good time. Thanks for the report.

So, I would like some knowledge on this.

I planned on going out of the rigouts Friday morning. Windfinder and Weather Channel are not showing the wind that you are. They have light winds out of the east/northeast at 2 to 5 knots. Am I looking at something wrong?

I am planning a similar trip to Lake Borgne as I did on Saturday. going to hit a few new spots.

Well, like you say in a few of your classes. The Facebook fishing report mafia is just all over the place.

I like the fact that I can look up past reports and compare similar conditions to plan out a trip.

And it’s nice to be able to get some feedback on a trip before I even go. Plus, Shooter’s comments are entertaining.

I would say about 3/4 of them were on live shrimp, the other boat next to us at that 2nd spot was just fishing live.

I’m still learning the bit with the jig head. Sometimes they would hit really hard and I could get those easily, but most of the hits on the matrix shad were quick and you had to be really responsive to the bit.

But like you say, I want to get away from the live bait. $50 to $70 a weekend in live bait adds up. It is ok when I’m bringing people who don’t fish.

Well, I’ll be headed out in the morning with the same route and plan but just out of the Rigolets.

    Shooter,

I have a very similar plan tomorrow. I will be heading out of Rigolets Marina at 5:30 a.m., hitting the rigs and shell pads right outside of the Rigolets Pass by Little Lake, then heading to the rigs on the north shore of Lake Borgne. After that, if we haven’t little out, I will head to the south rigs and then end the trip at the Reef you have marked as Shell Pad.

Is the Tulan Rig still there?

Welcome, I fish out of Rigolets Marina, and I go to Grand Isle at least 3 times a year.

I run salt away through my engine at least every 2 uses, if not every use.

Yeah, I am coming out of Rioglets marina. I should be ok, and those are the areas I planned on going to.

    That it did.

I think we’re gonna go back out Friday morning from what I can see. It looks pretty good tides definitely not as strong though. What do you think?

1/4 Oz. tried a few different colors.

It looks like they only have 1 reef in Lake Borgne?
