I’m going to attempt to leave Hopedale early Friday morning bound for the Comfort Island area, which I think is the pink part of your plan. I’ll report water conditions that day when I get back.

Every fish on plastic under cork.

Never been in that area but I’ll be fishing the next two days. If I try it, I’ll report. Haven’t been on the water in 6 weeks.

I hope this post is in the proper place……
I grew up bass fishing. Fished a lot in the marsh through the years, but always with a guide. Bought a bay boat in the fall with the notion of figuring out the marsh before the Good Lord called me home, which is a lot shorter time than most of you here.
This course is a game changer. I learned more about fishing the marsh than I ever expected when I started. And it has paid off. We don’t catch limits of trout or redfish every time we go. But we are competitive and rarely get skunked. It is an awesome learning tool.
Now, if I could learn how to post routes and fishing spots like you pros do, maybe I could make a few planning posts going forward!

Thanks to all who replied. I will definitely seek further guidance when I put together a preliminary plan for Venice.

Wind was primarily out of the S and SW. Started off about 10-12 and by 10:00 a.m. it was less than 5.

We sucked at taking pictures today. I was trying to show a live well full of trout but didn’t do a very good job.

Ran to Confort Island today. Pretty water. Rising tide till noon. Lots of birds but overwhelming majority of trout were small. Fished numerous islands but could never find a big pike of keepers.

Our trip delayed till Sunday. I will report then.

Hardly. I bought my boat in September and starting trying to learn about inshore fishing. Soon thereafter I found LAFBELITE. That was the game changer. And I’m lucky, I guess.

I am such a newbie it is not even funny.

Every fish caught with plastic under cork. No diving birds at all.

Thank you. I have not been to Venice and am honestly a little intimidated. I need to do a lot more homework before I venture out into “lower unit destruction land!”

Clean water and positive fishing reports for trout. We will shoot for redfish the next day in Delacroix. Not much water in the marsh now.
