Been prepping and organizing tackle during this storm. I’m going to make a trip this week as the water starts to clean up. I can’t get out tomorrow, so looking forward to living vicariously thought everyone’s reports. Go get em!

Hey reviving this post. I love the community aspect of the LAFB and being able to search the historical data. I fished somewhat blindly over the last year, but the information from 101 and the forums have really helped my last few trips.

I started GED mapping out some spots in the Bayou Guyago and Lena Lagoon area for upcoming fall pattern and came across this post. @JonFisher I really appreciate the planning and report post you make, since we are similarly setup. I’ve been in the neighborhood about a year now.

The marsh intrigues me, but also can be overwhelming which I think leads me and others to stick with the safe bayous we’ve known and fished our whole lives (9, 10, 11, 12) … but I’m ready to bounce around close to the dock instead of the hour run to the outside! although it was an awesome trout spring and summer.

That being said @JonFisher , I was wondering how these spots (A-J) played out last season and I’ll report back too what I find scouting.

I’ve been trying to hit the water at least once a week as weather and life permits.

Hey Cliff, I appreciate it. I’ll probably head down later this week.

Good comment on my map. I rolled the timeline back and tried to mark where it looked like tidelines were running around islands but I see your point. i might need to keep the scale of the zoom in check. 23 is like a mile from land in any direction! ha. Same with 19 and 20. Really was just trying to get some ideas going and then be able to log what I found.

    Garmin 2d and side scan.

I might try these later this week. I appreciate the tips.

Thanks for the reply, Devin. We ended up changing plans yesterday when wind and thunderstorms made their way into the forecast yesterday morning.

I keep the boat down in Shell Beach.

Decided to fish the Biloxi marsh to stay protected from strong NW winds.

Did pretty good on trout and reds. Plastics and Live shrimp from Campo’s. Didn’t really matter.

Fished Bayou Souse and St Malo, making the way to Magnolia. Called it a day when thunderstorms finally made it up the ship channel and scared us back in.

Tide and wind conflicted a little, but we were able to find some clean water deeper in the marsh.

Another good sign- finally seeing juvenile reds in the marsh after a summer of not catching many reds.
