Nice report and great day. Where did you launch? I’m trying to figure out which launch to use that will get me out to the outer bays the quickest.

Love the format and thanks for the report. I was just telling my fishing buddy that for this Saturday I was going to think about which launch gets us closest to the outer bays. We used to fish Port Sulphur so we know that route, and I know you can get out to Barataria pretty easily too from Myrtle Grove. I thought about Lafitte going down through Little Lake, we did that once too years ago.
I think given the extra traffic down Belle Chasse I’ll go to Myrtle Grove and make the run that way. I only have 90 Yamaha and we take an extra 5 gallon tank with us when we go outside.
Sounds like you worked for it and had a good time. Thanks again, great report

I keep my boat at Sweetwater and I like Delacroix because there are more areas to fish closer to the docks, and right off of the main Canal as you go out. You can still make the run to the outer bays, which I don’t do too often, but probably will next weekend since the river water is high.
Delacroix is tough in the winter though because it gets really low, so I usually fish Hopedale like December and January because the Mr. Go always has depth.

Thanks, but I think I’ll drive to Port Sulphur and go out that way. It’s a shorter boat ride and gas is a factor. I appreciate the offer

Thanks, I’m zeroing in on the Terranova

Last weekend they had the annual Redfish Tournament where 100 boats went out of Sweetwater Marina and pounded them all weekend. I’m sure that doesn’t help
