Here’s a cleaner Shell Beach plan that doesn’t take me on a 60 mile run.

One thing that has me leaning towards the Rigolets is the fact I won’t be doing any back tracking. I hate not having my spots planned out in a loop. This is why I’ve actually never fished Martello’s Castle before. It’s 11 miles from Shell beach and I don’t have many back up spots nearby and would have to ride the 11 miles back and then some if I wanted to try the dam afterwards. Also I live in Mandeville so I would save about 30 minutes of driving.

Turns out they actually caught over 20 trout. (They were telling me less at first because they were messing with me to say the fishings spots I gave them were shit). But none of them were at the dam. They caught them in the marsh nearby your redfish jubilee spot. I might be going out Friday so I’ll make a planning post for that.

I was going to just bolt some to the side of my center console but instead I got these things called Robocup. It’s a cupholder / rod holder and it clamps onto the leaning post. My friends have been bitching about me not having enough cupholders so it was perfect.

I really hope I don’t lose my GED stuff over time. I have so much stuff on mine that if I opened them all at once, my computer slows down.

Yeah maybe I’ll change the plans and make the run to the castle first to give the tide more time to start falling then work my way back. This is why I really want to go today since the tide turned around around 3-4 am but today just wasn’t a good day for me work wise. Also FTL is what I mark as falling tide line so I have a billion of them on my google earth.

Is that why we no longer get the Terra image and only get the Aqua?

You know I’ve been eye balling that area for a while on Google earth. Thank you for the info. I have a 5 month old baby now so I don’t get much time to fish like I used to. I used to go out by myself and try new spots but now I go so seldom I always have friends or family with me and I don’t like exploring new spots when I have people I could let down.

If I can get half the day you had today I will be thrilled. And just so we’re clear you are talking about the Lake Borgne side of Douluts right? I’ve only been there a few times and there’s usually boats there so I’m faking sick friday and skipping work to go lol

I do not have a yeti but the Robocup was perfect since it added 4 rod holders and 4 cup holders.

Same. I just added 4 more rod holders to the boat because the 6 on the center console just isn’t enough unless I’m by myself. I also really hate tying on different lures.

Had an old welder tell me to scrape the barnacles off the pilings and fish that and you’ll kill them.
