When I go to that area you want to fish, I launch out of Kenner by Treasure Chest Casino.
“He did say Kenner too. I chose Norco because it’s closer to launch and I don’t have to deal with Kenner traffic on a Friday.”
There could be a channel coming out of there that I don’t know about. I just don’t know. “Actually there are white poles he said follow that takes you out.”
I would idle that last leg of it going into the lake and watch sonar like a hawk.
“Without a doubt I’ll be at idle until I see deeper water.”

Looking at that map would one of the circled points be the “dope boat”? it looks like there’s a couple wrecks out there in three mile bay.

You know Devin, I just stumbled on it looking around for Lake P depth maps. I thought it was really cool that it’s very detailed showing lots of info that GED doesn’t show. This and GED is a step up for me.

Where did you launch from? I was thinking about Frenier landing but Devin mentioned it may be shallow. I have a 20 foot bass style boat with hyd jack plate.

It looks like Lake town in Kenner has a pretty good launch. Do you recommend any others that would be better?

Sure, Elmers Island and those areas are a long haul for me out of BTR. With that being said, I’ve been wanting to fish the West side of the lake and power lines for reds but have concentrated south so I think that’s going to be the game plan for Saturday. The course on power line reds was really good, I’ll see how it works out for me.
