It’s simple. Save your tracks to the microscope as gpa files then plug the card into your new CP. it’s pretty self explanatory on the menus.

Cypress cove people told me they’re going up because they want to start working on the parking lot. Just what they said not sure if it’s true…we’ll see in time.

This is a pretty good site: https://usa.fishermap.org/depth-map/pontchartrain-lake/. You can search other areas with it also.

Snapper fished there last weekend and the water from sugar Bayou to South Pass inland was chocolate milk dirty. About a mile west out of Red Pass and south to SW Pass was. beautiful green. Ran to Baptist Collette and Bayou Baptiste Collette the water was chocolate there too. Plenty of small snapper and a few cobia around the rigs in the 160-195 foot depth. Probably 5to1 under 16. Managed to bring home a limit but it was a workout. River was looking better than the passes but still needs more time to green up.

  • Thank you Geremy. I appreciate the help!

Great report! I’m learning Venice slowly, it’s so big. The down shot picture, is that where the Mississippi River flows out? How deep was the trough? This may help me.

    Thank you

That’s crazy wild. I ran SW Pass up river one time in a 35 ft contender with a south wind. It was freakin crazy to say the least. MRGO with a south wind has nothing on this and MRGO will beat you up and spit you out. I know first hand. Glad y’all made it back safe and with snapper!

Okay, that answers my question. Straight down Joseph’s to east bay. I’ve just never been down it so I wanted to check what other people do.

    Thank you

  • I tried to search the zinging route but came up with zero results. I know it’s been posted a couple of times but can’t find it. Could you post the link please?

    Thank you Devin

Thank you Devin, I thought so. Do you guys go down the river into SWP then through Joseph’s bayou to east bay? Looks like the best way to me.

    Thanks again

I wish I was going down because I sure would HYU. What is the best area to fish for snapper in that area? I went last week and we fished the WD block, caught plenty of snapper just couldn’t catch any over 15 inches it was very frustrating. I’m thinking maybe closer to SW pass on the east side and the rigs straight out from SP. I’m at a loss.
