Devin,
To understand better why do these three areas stand out in your mind vs Delacroix, Hopedale or MRGO places? Is it the time of the year or something else that makes these attractive more than others such as weather pattern, tides, etc.?
Thank you for your input/suggestions and I and I’m sure everyone else will appreciate understanding more of why these choices so they can be applied to other similar patterns.

Good information Devin. Thanks for the heads up!

Same thing here, it was pretty miserable then the intermittent rain made it even worse. I’m not even sure if the MRGO would’ve been any better with the water as cold as it was Sunday. Maybe? I fished the deep holes and graphed bait and fish but they had lockjaw not even a bite and I was on them. Maybe the water will warm up some this week??

Sure. I hope this report helps you in the future and thank you for letting me know the name of this place. I’m new to this area and trying to learn all I can.
Thanks Again!

I’m not sure where you located but I would also look at some local welding shops. They may be able to weld you some aluminum steps just what you are looking for. Bring them a picture.

Another issue you’re going to have is if your Garmin’s memory is full or close to it you won’t be able to add tracks that you create in GED plus the unit will truncate long names and tracks. Additionally, when creating routes in GED keep them super simple as in point by point vs dragging the line creating hundreds of points. The best site I found to convert gpx files is this one: https://kml2gpx.com/. Need any help let me know.

Thank you! We’ll see how it goes!

Thank you so much! Hopefully we’ll have a “productive” fishing report come next week!

Thank you! I do see the walls and I’m glad @olw3rd showed me the best route. Are there any markers in Gentilly bayou or is it GPS track all the way? You mention Oak River but I don’t know where Oak River or orange bayou are located? I would prefer to not cross the lake if at all possible. Thanks guys I really appreciate the feedback this is my first adventure in the area and I know the water is going to be low.

Ha! standard equipment on the boat.

I’m headed down to Oak River Saturday AM. Looks like the tide should be pretty good and the winds favorable. If I didn’t have an 8:00AM I’d be going Friday. I’ll be in my alweld cc

I had 43.8F on my graphs.
