The article was written by the AMERICAN SALTWATER GUIDES ASSOCIATION; these guys are 100% onboard with the new rule. I think it’s an excellent step forward in red fish conservation and I hope our letters to some of the key LDWF member board helped thanks to Devin for posting the addresses so we could have our voice heard. Maybe LAFB helped with this change, it sure couldn’t have hurt it any. I don’t use this phrase much but shout out to Devin and LAFB for posting the email addresses!

We used to fish the lights around the docks in Venice off of grand pass and around the wagon wheel. We always did well at night. They’ll probably get better when the trout start moving back in a little latter in August. Thanks for the tips!

Yes it’s available. It’s a bad ass cooler but you need a big boat to carry it! I used it for snapper and grouper.

These are the guys that took on Yeti and said we can do it better and cheaper.

I truly appreciate the feedback guys! I kinda thought the red fish would be pretty scarce with the pressure they see but it’s good to know that I did learn a few things in Red Fish school and I can find ponds and safe routes. Thank you for the course Devin, I’m almost done but have referred back to it many times while planning. Thank you guys I appreciate everyone’s intel it’s worth a ton!!

This is good intel. I’ve been doing the pop totally wrong which is probably the demise of any success at all I’ve had with this method, see my neophyte reports not knowing how to properly work the jig. When you see you, Devin, or Chas pop the rod two or three times respectively you then wait until you feel the bait hit the bottom again, then pop again, correct?

Ah ok. When I read things like this I automatically assume people are fishing in LA, sorry. If you go to the short rigs this works well.
