I’ve been eyeing Marsh Demon lures and y’all have given me a reason to make a purchase. Can’t wait to try them out! Appreciate the member discount!

I don’t have hydraulic steering but just wanted to throw in some input if it could help. I would put a wrench on the fittings to check tightness first (I’m sure you have already).

If the soft goods are that hard to find you might have better luck contacting the manufacturer directly and requesting the parts.

Have you pinpointed where the leak is at? Is it leaking bad or just a slow drip? Are there any cracks / noticeable damage in the fittings? I would probably do a good inspection over the whole thing. Disconnect & drain and take a good look at everything. If you have a cracked fitting or something I would be hesitant to keep running until it’s fixed, all the vibration will only make it worse and the last thing you want is to lose control on the water.

If you can pinpoint that the leak appears to be coming from deteriorated gasket etc and it’s a slow drip then I wouldn’t worry too too much but definitely keep an eye on it and get it fixed as soon as you can.

Also, if there’s absolutely no way you can get your hands on replacement soft goods you might have some luck taking the old ones over to a place that sells gaskets. I have a Blue Water Rubber & Gasket Co local to me in Houma, they also have a Belle Chasse location. They have tons of stuff and might just have something that matches what you need. I believe they can make whatever you need also. Might be worth a shot!

They were 100% redfish. They were tailing but their whole backs were sticking out of the water when they would come up.

Yeah man it’s not a far run to the outside of coco from there, should be quick for you in that Avid. Looking forward to see how you do!

“Anyway, that looks like a 675? And he was only doing 45mph? Likely story.”

Lol probably more like 70 mph. I was told that he’s also previously sunken a dual rig pro-drive to the bottom of Lake Boudreaux from recklessness. So it all checks out. I always stay on my toes when running routes that I’ve extensively dissected on GED cause you really never know 100%.

Good to know! I threw a few casts on the north bank of Decade right out of the canal when I was waiting for the fog, no luck though.

“there was glass minnows jumping out of the water being chased by trout and reds. The trout were also throwing them up. So that could for sure be what you saw.”

Yeah this makes a lot more sense because they were tiny and white-ish, not like a brown shrimp. Thanks for clearing that up!

Where will you be launching from? I’ve never fished Four League, others mostly overlook it as well but I’ve heard there’s some good pockets for redfish, but there’s plenty of that everywhere else too. The river definitely has some influence but I wouldn’t think it’s quite as drastic as the MS in Delacroix / PLH.

If you decide to hit Dularge I would launch at Jug’s and start in Mechant and work your way south, especially with the size of your boat. Wind forecast looks great though. Coco is always good, but I believe they are still doing cleanup from the LOOP oil spill in fourchon. Guides are still launching out of coco marina and heading out so you may be fine. This pic is the last update I’ve seen. Give us some updates on what you decide to do!

    That’s interesting.

Mine was giving me trouble before the latest update. I did the update hoping that it would be the cure, but nothing changed unfortunately.

I can’t recall off hand what size the battery i b. It was already in the boat when I bought it from my grandpa last March, and needed to be replaced back then but I kept pushing it off as it was working just fine. I initially planned on replacing the battery during the re-wire but didn’t get to it. I’ll upgrade to a bigger battery and go AGM, I don’t like having to keep up with checking the water in a wet cell battery.

I’ve got a lot of extra/spare parts I keep for this purpose and it all takes up enough space in my house/garage that I literally write off the square footage in my taxes.

So be careful going down that rabbit hole. I don’t have a wife telling me what I can/can’t have, either. LOL”

Better to ask for forgiveness than permission right lol.

And yes, I’m offshore and can’t get to my boat.

First thing I’ll do when I get home is upgrade that battery and see where that gets me. It needs to be done regardless so if it fixes the problem then that’s great too.

No issues on the chart plotter. I did try SideVu but I couldn’t really tell since I haven’t used side imaging much and I can’t recall how feedback looked before I noticed the issue. Thanks for the responses!

I did put a little dielectric grease on the connection to the back of the unit, probably wouldn’t hurt to spray some contact cleaner on it as well. Hoping they just send me a new one and I don’t have to send in this one before they ship, but I doubt that’s how it will work haha. Thanks man!
