Northwest and southeast could make the MRGO rough, and the end of the rocks make a point for the water to move better/faster around during a neap tide.
With some of the advice you gave in my other post, I may try west pontchartrain tomorrow, hopefully get a Thursday plan for trout, as it’s looking a little better wind wise, and not worry too much about trout for August

So with the long rock suggestion, am I thinking correctly? The MRGO gives the calmest path toward good water, the rocks provide better water movement on a neap incoming tide than other areas might, and the rocks also help protect from rougher water while fishing.

Hey guys, I’m new to LAFB Elite. This post caught my attention, because I recently had a problem with water getting in my tank. It turned out to be the fuel sending unit gasket.
I agree with what others have already said. Ethanol free definitely sits at some gas stations longer(maybe years). Personally I’ve only had that issue once, and had to siphon it from a brand new mower. Otherwise, I’ve never had problems with the fuel itself, even when it’s months old. I’ve seen problems with old ethanol gas multiple times.
If you’re having that much trouble with water, either the gas station has old/bad gas or you’re getting water in somewhere.

Ha, I just finished a bunch of work on my trailer and some minor crap with my boat so I’d love to think I’m all good. But I’m sure there’s more to be done.

Yes, water was getting under the access hatch in the floor and pooling on top of the tank. The boat is covered but it does ocassionaly get rain driven from the sides
As for the bad gas, the gas station i bought it from ended up with several complaints about bad gas. Maybe they had problems with their tanks.
But pharv’s friend needing to empty his water separator that much before starting his engine definitely seems like bigger issues than old fuel.
