0 Sea Turtles!! 😂
That’s funny!
I guess 13 was the number yesterday because that’s all I brought home yesterday as well, lol.
Glad you got on them again. Great report, thank you!

Didn’t mean to post a reply here. Am I missing something or is there just not a comment delete button? Lol

Welcome! Stoked to have you! All the way from PA, wow that’s awesome, I love PA.
I might be hitting the MRGO area if Delacroix doesn’t produce tomorrow. If the rock dam doesn’t produce try hitting the flats and points down the MRGO until you get to the Long Rocks, then try them out. You’ll have somewhat stiff ENE wind Wednesday but those spots still should be doable. Good luck, looking forward to your report!

I had my wife watch a Youtube video of a guy eating them raw to prove that they are harmless because she was grossed out by them. Please note, the guy we watched was not a medical professional nor a scientist, lol. If there’s an over whelming amount in the meat I might feed the pelicans, but most of the time I just cook the meat with them in it. Never had any issues with them.

That tournament sounds fun! Glad you had a good day and caught a bunch of fish. I’ll be fishing out there tomorrow. I’m thinking I’ll start in Delacroix first and work my way up that way. Not sure yet, after reading your report I might just head straight out there first and work my way down. Great report, thank you!

A FREAKING SEA TURTLE MATE!?! HOLY SCHNIKES!! I did not expect that from your report, lol. That’s both awesome and crazy at the same time. Anyway, thank you for your report, this gives me good intel as to what’s out there at the moment. Hopefully I’ll get similar conditions when I go to GI on the 24th, that way I can fish the same areas and report back if the trout made out there later on in the month or not. Great report, thank you!

Been looking forward to your report all day. Bummer about all the throw backs and dolphins. Them or sharks can really ruin a good bite. Glad you didn’t get skunked though and was able to have some fun with some reds. Great report, thank you for reporting back! Thank you.

Thank you for sharing this!

I use 20lb mono for my line and the “arm length as a foot method” when measuring my line, lol. That’s the only difference between your method and mine. Side note, the pink cork is also my favorite, haha.

Glad I’m not the only one! lol
Thank you sir!

It was still pretty dark when I made it to Lagoon Brady, like I could barely see the white poles dark, so if there was any birds I couldn’t see them. I didn’t see any one the way in either.
The only birds I saw was at the north break of the rocks, but the water was moving so fast through there I couldn’t get on anything if there was anything. I should have drifted back a few several yards with the current but the wind was so brutal I just wanted to get out of there. Also, that looked like straight river water which would make sense looking at the recent imagery of that area.
We did cast up against the rocks, or the green zone shown in you picture, but your totally right about switching to a 1/8 oz. I agree that would have made all the difference. Thank you for recommending that.
Also, no rafting mullets or birds. I think the conditions prevented that.

That’s a sweet boat! Thank you for the intel.

Bridge Side Marina posted a few reports over the weekend of people catching trout and sheep head. Now, when and where those pictures were takin, I don’t know, but could give a good indication that they are in fact making their way further south now.

Sunday morning looks perfect for Fourchon. Could even run to the sunken rocks if the wind lays down a little more in the later AM. I’ve been wanting to fish that area since last year, just never got around to it. Hopefully during my Grand Isle trip April 24th -27th, the wind lays down enough for me to get out that way. If not, Independence reef is another spot on my GI plan if conditions are right for it.
