Go to <Louisiana Wildlife Reef Coordinates> and scroll down to Inshore Artificial Reefs and you’ll see a link to download the GED KML file.

“I was perfectly fine with just “a day on the water” by myself.”
Man I feel that! Company is great but solo trips are the best.
“One of the trout I caught had what looked like a glass minnow in its mouth. Is it possible that’s what I saw jumping out the water?”
When I fished Point A La Hache 3/9, there was glass minnows jumping out of the water being chased by trout and reds. The trout were also throwing them up. So that could for sure be what you saw.
I’ve actually been watching the conditions and building a plan for Dularge for this coming Friday 3/27 since this past Sunday. My plan is to start in Fourleage Bay working my way east to Lost Lake, then Mechant, then Sister lake, and then work south from there with quickness. I’ll be hitting points, cuts, flats, and oyster reefs.
I’ve been curious to see if the Atchafalaya river has the same type of influence as the Mississippi river has been have in Delacroix / Point A La Hache.
But now I’m kind of leaning towards Cocodrie, IDK. I’ll post a report on which one I decide to do.
Excellent report, thank you!

Glad you didn’t give up and found them, nice work as usual. Great report, thank you!

Hell yeah man. Glad the grind paid off. Awesome trip and report. Thank you!

“The river definitely has some influence but I wouldn’t think it’s quite as drastic as the MS in Delacroix / PLH.”
Totally agree. I was thinking last night that Fourleague and Lost Lake may be pushing it and that I’ll be passing a lot of fish on the way. I’ll probably start in Goose bay, then work Mechant on the way to Sister lake.
Ahh yes, the Loop oil spill, haha. Thank you for bringing that up. I’m going to stick with Dularge for now. If I’m feeling froggy I could always make my way to Coco from Sister Lake.
I absolutely love Cocodrie and have a plan already built out for the area, but I was going to wait until mid April to head that way.
Very much appreciate the advise. Also, I’ll be launching from Jug’s.

I mean, he may flinch at the idea at first, but I think he’ll understand. Explaining to the Coast Guard, Wild Life, or Sheriffs depart why my buddy has an oyster sack over his head may get a little awkward, lol.

Yeah, they were throwing up a lot of minnows.
As for swearing my to buddy to secrecy, I get it. Full disclosure: I only told him we were fishing the Delacroix area, no further details. He’s not part of the forum, nor does he know the actual details and spots for this trip. I know people can figure that out by taking pictures and seeing the location, but honestly, I don’t think he’s concerned with that. The extra plus one was last minute and unexpected. They were just along for the ride. I know better.
Thank you!

Thank you!
Just do your homework, watch the conditions, and utilize the forum and you should have a good trip.

All good! I missed most of last years Delacroix / PHL beat downs because of the crack in the hull of my boat. I got my boat back just in time for the, what I called “The Elite Outing” in Delacroix 2025.
Anyway, yeah I’m itching to get back down the Venice to venture out to South pass, SW pass, and the outer bays.

Thank you Tim!

It definitely caught me by surprise when I caught it. I though it was a bull red at first, but it didn’t fight like one.
Thank you!

I made sure to keep a few in the box to take a picture this time around. They also had some in their bellies.
Not sure what you mean by running down from Shell Beach. I think you may have me confused with @JonFisher ? He posted a report recently about coming down from Shell Beach.
I knew Delacroix and PLH was going to turn on this time of year because of past trips and reports, but was going to skip Delacroix and go see if Venice was heating back up instead.
Thank you!

I’m definitely going keep your advice in mind tomorrow when down there.
Very much appreciate the advice. Thank you!
