Seems like Lake Robin turned on more around mid to late morning-ish. That was the only place I could find fish Saturday. I think I made it to Lake Robin around 10:00 – 10:30 ish, it was throw back city but was able to grind out 11 keeps. Great report, Thank you!

It really was a tough day for fishing Saturday. It took me forever just to find throw back city and 11 keepers. On the bright side, at least it was a beautiful day. Also, happy to have met you and was able to chat with you for a minute. Like you said, the fishing will get better soon. Thank you for the report!

This is very helpful! I’ve been planning a trip exactly like yours for this coming Tuesday 3/11. I have (maybe had now, lol) plans to hit a few flats south of the wall and fish a few points and drift oyster reefs in Lake Athanasio. Nothing planned for Eloi.
Looking at today’s satellite imagery on NASA Worldview, that chocolate milk river water has made it to the very end of the long rocks, so that makes since why the water down there was dirtier.
Great report man, I really appreciate it! May switch some things up now based off of your report. I’ll definitely follow up and post a report after my trip Tuesday. Thank you!

Unfortunately I had something come up with work and wasn’t able to make it out.

I feel like East Delacroix is going to be the better option due to the Caernarvon diversion mucking up the west side. Saturday looks like it’ll be a good day to go though. I wonder if with the rising tide and the ESE / SE winds Friday it’ll push that river water closer into the marsh making the fish even more concentered in the interior.

MemberMarch 17, 2025 at 8:32 pm in reply to: Venice Area Fishing for the week starting 3/16There are several cameras along the river, two of them are located on the pilot station looking upriver and down river. There’re not live, but run 5min intervals and does show historical data. The only way I know how to access them is through a website I use for work call MRTIS.com. Unfortunately its not free and requires a subscription.
