Been looking forward to your report all day. Bummer about all the throw backs and dolphins. Them or sharks can really ruin a good bite. Glad you didn’t get skunked though and was able to have some fun with some reds. Great report, thank you for reporting back! Thank you.

Thank you for sharing this!

I use 20lb mono for my line and the “arm length as a foot method” when measuring my line, lol. That’s the only difference between your method and mine. Side note, the pink cork is also my favorite, haha.

That map is awesome!! World love to hang that on my wall, haha. The loss of marsh on the other hand, is not so awesome. Thank you for sharing this!

Looks like there’s an Oyster lease at these points, might be good. They’re on your way to your spot #18. Looking at LDWF Oyster lease map, there’s a ton of leases from your spot #18 to #24. My apologies, I cant give a lot of advice for MG, I’ve only fished it once years ago with a co-worker in his boat before I found LAFB. Anyway, the spots you picked out look good. You should have good moving water around those points and the water should be clean, according to the imagery from today (of course subject to change). Good luck man, looking forward to your report!

Thank you for the report! The rocks is part of my Delacroix / Hopedale plan if I decide to go out to that area in the coming days. Great report, thank you!

Well, I know I just told @Boyce on his report that I was going to stay close to home in the up coming days and fish Delacroix / Hopedale area, but your report might have just convinced me to try out Laffite. I’ve never fished that area, but I should! Just in case I have to run that far north to get on trout when I go to Grand Isle April 24th – 27th. Awesome report, thank you!!

That sounds like a solid plan! I’m going to be fishing one of the days starting Sunday through Wednesday, just haven’t made a decision yet. I’ll most likely stick around the Delacroix / Hopedale area for now, just to stay close to home. Got a Grand Isle trip coming up April 24th to the 27th and depending on the conditions I might be running up to the same areas you mention depending on how the big bays look with the river projected to be at its highest around that time.

Been keeping an eye on the level as well. Starting to get a little worried to be honest. Fingers crossed!

Not a bad day at all with that kind of wind. Nice work, thank you for the report!!

That’s awesome!! Thank you for the report!

Being prepped and ready the day before to just, pay to launch, put the boat in the water, park the truck, and head to the first spot is a 101 pillar! It feels good passing everyone at the gas stations and ice machines in the morning because you got all that done in advance, lol. Anyway, you sir, are killing it as usual. Great Report, thank you!

Sunday morning looks perfect for Fourchon. Could even run to the sunken rocks if the wind lays down a little more in the later AM. I’ve been wanting to fish that area since last year, just never got around to it. Hopefully during my Grand Isle trip April 24th -27th, the wind lays down enough for me to get out that way. If not, Independence reef is another spot on my GI plan if conditions are right for it.

Yessir, I remember! Pretty sure I read all of them, if not most of them.
