Thanks for all the replies, helpful info. My fishing partner started violently puking at 5PM yesterday, trip canceled.

I believe I have it figured out. Stay East of the North Point where this navigation map says deeper water on the route. Then fish the gulf side of the beach 2moro morning (incoming tide, South Wind), incoming tide will push salt water towards the beach, the island will buffer this area. If everything works out and I make it out I’ll report back 2moro. But if anyone else has input I am happy to hear it. Thanks
