From my experience Minn Kota are good people to deal with. I crack the shaft once offshore trying to hang a rig hook and I was at total fault. So I called to order a replacement shaft and gave them my serial numbers to get the right part and they noticed I had just recently just purchased it. They asked what happened and I explained, then they told me to take it to Dixie Trolling motors in Mandeville for the repairs and they covered the cost.

Actually not a bad trip and I know it didn’t yield the results you wanted. But you covered a ton of water and I would have done something very similar. It’s a huge area to locate fish and time is never on your side. Nice job.

Yesterday morning my son fished the shore line and drains between Unknown Pass and Shell point. Blind Bayou and the cove next to it was real productive.

This is awesome to hear and this area has been on my mind. There are some shallow oyster beds north of there that I would like to spend a morning throwing topwaters on.

I would much rather fish Hopedale/Delacroix so I picked an area that is relatively new to me, and I will fish it tomorrow. It has everything from points, drains, flats, and oyster reefs. I will spend the day dissecting it and picking it apart.
Slidell is my nemesis and I always struggle there. I have been wanting to fish Slidell more just to get better there. I don’t mind struggling if I’m learning something. Even my trip there this past Sunday was okay, but I was a little disappointed or dissatisfied.
Where is Mud Lake? I have heard several people mention it and have had no luck finding it on Google Earth.
