Welcome brother. I recently joined the group as well and i also recently moved to Baton Rouge. If you ever want to hit the water together let me know. We can plan the trip together a couple of days before so we have time for feedbacks and we can hit the water. Tight lines!!!

Fisrt of all, i really appreciate you taking the time to give me a thoughtful and sincere feedback, i hope to be able to do the same to you one day!
So today i woke up to a much different forecast than i was getting yesterday, which changes my while game plan. I planned this trip around two things, wind being basically dead, and fishing the trestles to simply put my eye on it before its actually “game time” in october, since i never been there. But mother nature had other plans and i am completely okay with it. So shell beach gauge seems to have a much better looking tide forecast and my plan B was to actually fish hopedale. Wind will be much stronger than it was predicted but theres plenty of areas i can fish protected from that N NE wind and a much smoother boat ride, so as we speak im working on that plan. I do have a pin on the Regolets plan tho, ill be back at it friday! -

So my boat flotas good at about 10” of water to 1 foot, 1.8 foot is what i need to get on plane. But i will definitely approach this areas with caution and if it don’t look good i wont mess with it.

Yeah i figured its a little too early to find trout there but since its my first time fishing it i could make good use of that low wind and put my eye on things and practice jigging in there a bit. But friday i do plan on actually getting on the trout transitioning around hopedale and biloxin marsh, but ill plan that trip around Wednesday when predictions are a little more accurate. Now october comes around ill give bievenue hell!!

I really appreciate the pointers. the other spots i marked seems to be worth a try too?

Thank you for the heads up. It dont change my plans much because the tide chart for Bonfouca shows about the same little tide movement

Thank you brother! I’m from Belem (north of Brazil) part of the Amazon rain forest.
