I was fishing a long stretch of shoreline adjacent to the highway facing the bay. At low tide right up against the shoreline where my kayak was, was all around one foot of water give or take. I was using my paddle as a pole and poling through the flat as even the pedal drive on my kayak couldn’t go down.

Thank you, for the advice, I’m now set on trying Venice tomorrow. Excited to try a new spot and will hopefully figure out the trout down there!

I launched from Tide Water Water Rd. Further west of that launch close to the southernmost point to drive sign.
In retrospect though around that launch you’re talking about would probably be much better with a strong north breeze. Thanks for the great advice as always
