I have a similar issue ongoing in my boat. First start of the morning lately, I’ll turn the key and get nothing. Try 3-4 more times and it fires right up and is good to go the rest of the day. I can’t pinpoint my issue either.
I was going to recommend looking at the starter solenoid, but I see you’re already on top of that.

I agree with that, it would be awesome to just use it to watch how the fish behave and move underwater.
He absolutely was on them and I wasn’t. I didn’t want to get up on his bite, so I just fished around him. But with the FFS, he was able to stay on them much more easily. Every time they moved, he moved with them.

I genuinely do not know, so can you explain how this set up would help out with hook sets during a finicky bite?

There was a period yesterday where maybe 4-5 in a row either threw the hook or got off at the boat. I would’ve tried that in heart beat lol.

In the moment all I was thinking about is how I could be so stupid to not have such a high powered sonar device on my boat where I could merk speckled trout at will while some other poor soul in a red boat watches.
But in all seriousness, yeah that was the first time I’ve ever seen it in action and it’s sorta BS. Just makes it too easy.
