I plan on taking the course again to better wrap my head around it. My thoughts were if the tide is coming in the water would be moving first out in the sound but I guess also it would be moving first coming in the bigger outlets along the inner part of the sound such as Bay Eloi or Lake Fortuna?

I guess I’m running deep in the sound on a rising tide then ! lol!

Great report! I was at the Trestles this spring when my trolling motor shaft decided to break while we were out there, had to break out the anchor and keep grinding! Thinking about heading to Brenton Sound in the morning, but looks like the tide is even gonna be less than yesterday, based on your report, I may just hang closer and hit the oyster reefs and save some gas money !

Just got back to Hopedale Marina, I hit at least 10 rigs in Black Bay with no luck on trout , it was hard heads or Bull reds! I stopped on the way in at a few oyster reefs only dinks. Thinking about hanging out for the evening.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been wanting to launch out of Delacroix , I’m not that familiar the area, I was thinking about taking a scouting day out there soon to start learning the main routes out there

Thanks for the feedback! I just finished up inshore 101 and 201! The knowledge in those courses are priceless and puts you ahead of the game if you’re a new fisherman and even if you’re a veteran fisherman who’s been doing it wrong the whole time lol! I’m making my teenage son who loves fishing take the course as well! Thanks again!
