Normally I try not go on the weekend bc of the crowd. At the reefs there were 15+ boats. Back in the marsh, I saw 1 or 2 come in and fish for 10+- minutes then leave. Was nice to not be crowded with idiots running boats and jet skis over the fish.

We launched out of Bay St. Louis Saturday am. Tried the first reef with no luck. Went to flat boat, no luck (caught em good there 3 day’s prior.) We then headed toward the marsh. Tide was falling, went behind one of the islands and found a good tide line. We caught smaller size trout almost every cast. We then moved down off a point between 2 islands. We then caught fish on about every cast for 2 hours. We finally ran into some keeper size on about our 3rd or 4th tide line. Overall, the wife and I caught 100+- with about 20 keepers (we didn’t keep any that day.) The inshore 101 and the great reports from LAFB made this possible. Popping cork with matrix or a gulp shrimp-color didn’t matter. Double rig as well.

We’ve been having pretty good luck around the islands in EBM fishing the edge of the grass beds.

Tried 5-6 groups of birds, only small trout and cats.
