    My buddy with a 20ft Bayboat was able to get off so didnt have to use my boat.

    Launched from Chef Harbor about 7:30, ran to Lake Borgne and fished the rocks just to the right when coming out of Chef Pass. One Nice Sheepshead. Got choppy with the wind, took the ICW bypass (unsure what its called, cant find a map that names it) to the right, tried some ponds on the left pass Bayou Dupont. Found some clean flowing water and picked 3 nice Reds on Matrix Craw (Red Shad) and a Bass.

    Also about 8, undersized trout.

    Thanks for the insight, searching ponds saved the day.

    Fished Venice 8/19 and have to concur, its on fire! Two of us caught over 35 slot Reds and 16 flounder, I’ll admit we used market shrimp on the bottom for most of the fish.

    Find a trenasse with the tide falling out, the flounder were all holding CLOSE to the point with the Reds holding just off drop offs.

    Yeah, the Sheepshead bite was definitely on . Best results when you were almost jigging straight down. All were nice sized. Made some nice ceviche.
