Why not Port Sulphur or MG?

Those have traditionally been great following a cold front.

You weren’t the only one that got skunked. I think it had a lot to do with no tidal movement.

Yeah Lake P is going off right now. I only mention it because I know you had speculated that Lake P Basin wasn’t gonna be that good this year. It’s the best I’ve ever seen it. This is the lake I had always heard about where 20″ trout were the norm.

Ex- Took my new neighbor out the day prior to scout and he’s mainly a live shrimp guy and I set him up with the LAFB special (3/8 jighead & green hornet matrix) 20″+ trout on his 3rd cast. It was a lot rougher then yesterday but they are definitely moving west.

Another thing I’ve noticed in this cooler weather is you can actually feel the tide in the air. You will be riding along and it goes from chilly-chilly to warm like a light switch and can see the tide line. I figure (but am open to speculation) that the warm air is the tide outflow after being in shallower water.

Denman with the ol’ “I’ll be fighting a shadow war to secure our oil reserves before the Taiwan Tango o’ 27 and so I won’t be able to make your season opener trip”

    How original…

This is the Adderall/redbull talking but I’m on the freakin spectrum Cliff. My life is patterns. Thats why I fish. Its the same reason I was obsessed with stocks, trains, and counting when I’m carrying something. I am constantly looking for the math in the matrix.

I knew that yesterday was gonna be shit at the Trestles.

    I knew it.

    But I went anyways.

    It was a freaking grind.

    I caught one trout.

    Thai caught 5.

He also caught the same number of flounder.

We were out there all day.

Why? Friday was a freaking banner day for everyone and their brother including TOTS.

Because the pressure was dropping all day Friday. Check out yesterday.

Do you think the tens of thousands of trout along the bridge just said “PEACE I’M OUT!” literally 2 days later? Nah man. They were chilling on the bottom lethargic as a MF.

Don’t you think its weird that we just happened to catch 5 of a fish that lives in the bottom of the seafloor all its life? ONE WITHOUT A SWIM BLADDER?

I hooked a freaking 22″ stud that captain butterfingers fumbled the net job on.

I have never caught a flounder that big in Louisiana.

When we got back to the ramp, everyone but Mike Brantley had struggled.

That being said look at Tuesday and Wednesday. Prime time baby!

I think it has more to do with the delta (change up or down) but I think a falling barometer signals that they better eat soon because weather is coming and they feel it in their swim bladder/lateral line. Its impossible that it has no effect on fish. I’ve seen it too many times and I myself pass TF out when the pressure drops and I can feel high pressure in my sinus cavities when its high. Anyways I’ve been up for 2 days doing 2 months of deep work or else I’d post up all the science and reports where I’ve whacked them when it fell so you’re just gonna have to trust me bro…
