Congrats on the new house.

Been using it for 7 years.
It’s my go to and helps me plan the week.

It sounds like you caught 90 trout.
Also, bass trackers are underrated. I stash one at my parents in Alabama and I’m looking forward to the next outing on it.
Heres my build album:

@leviwalters I couldn’t have said it better. I will add you can find snapper in about half that depth which saves your arm and increases your chances of getting it away from the taxman.
Find a good day and team up with one of us. Happy to guide people on their boats/ gas.

We were finding snapper about 60 -70 ft. Let it hit bottom 3-4 cranks and wait, give it 10-15 seconds, 1-2 more cranks, 10-15 seconds, then check bait or reposition. Snapper fishing needs no lessons imho. Just show up and blow up and get it past the sharks.
I know the founders of MRTIS really well from working on the river in a past life so I have a discounted copy but theres tons of features like weather overlays(which the windy integration was my idea), cameras up and down the river(good for seeing river clarity), a fog predictor(which I think is the only one in existence)but the most important for me is the river gauge/speed and traffic. I would not have felt comfortable running in fog without it. Best part is all these functions are in one place and all dedicated specific to Louisiana.

You know this better than most having wrote the book on fishing the boot:
Those redfish will always be there.
The best part about Venice is you can hit those trout in the morning and pop over to the wagon wheel or <insert favorite Venice pond region> at any time or even PAH/PS/MG on your way back.

Just reporting the facts.
IF I wanted play with your emotions, I would let you know that I lost a mule who became aerial (more like a marlin than a bass) when I hooked him and the fact that we all broke off on trout that never surfaced.

They love catching, not so much the fishing and THEY WILL LET IT BE KNOWN when it is time to move.
