Not a bad day at all given the conditions. You gotta beat those guides to the inside because they stack up in there. I would skip the jetty next time and run straight there as early as you can safely get there. You can also push further behind the beach right at daybreak and cast the shoreline with a plug or corky.

Grand Isle Jesus.
You died so that others may live, and you shall rise from the ashes of this day like the Phoenix.
If Devin is with us, who can be against us my child?

Alot of this is covered in the courses like IF101 but it may have gotten lost in 15,000,000 words making it up.
Theres a lot of knowledge here, but don’t be afraid of google. Louisiana Sportsman has multiple articles regarding every area we could hope to fish, including Lake Borgne.
If you don’t have a GPS/Fish Finder I highly recommend purchasing one along with either a LA 1 Standard Mapping chip for non Hummingbird or Navionics chip with a HB.
Navionics also has a mobile app which has most of these rigs marked.
Many of these rigs are visible in GED and even if you dont have GED, a phone, or a fish finder you can see them on the horizon as you enter Lake Borgne.
I can go into more depth and where to source every rig accessible from Lousiana but I think start with the above and then I’ll point you to those cords.
