Last spring and summer these spots produced. Better on a falling tide but caught limits on a rising tide as well. Start at spot 1 and work that shoreline to spot 2. Normally I could repeat that and catch a limit. Spot 3 is good and the reds are normally 15 yards off the bank. “Tall grass” can’t miss it when you enter the canal. Reds aren’t call on either end of the grass, but work the middle too. Last spot in lost lake is good when the water is low but productive on higher tides as well. No shame, but live shrimp produced better than anything else. I’m itching to get out there too. Good luck.

Preach. And for someone like myself who only gets to fish once or twice a month, the planning posts become a hobby until I can get on the water again.

Tough day brotha with that wind. I second the “barbs” on the Windfinder app. It gives me the best idea of what the wind may be doing and how it will impact where I plan to fish. Good news is that it has been pushing in some clean water. It was dirty last week when I went. @johnawill had a great day at the rocks and reported some clean water. When the wind gets right it should be good.

Wind was blowing 10-15 out of the SE today when we finished. That was fishable. Hopefully that forecast improves a little.

We could have caught our limit at the short rocks. Actually threw back 5 or so keepers. My buddy wanted redfish so we switched plans. You are right, probably should have spent some time on the north side working points and coves.

I dropped it in ChatGPT so it separates the conditions out and formats it easier. I won’t going forward if it causes issues.

Just a little muddy. I’m out of town for work this weekend, so I will be living vicariously through the reports that come in.

The courses and community have been great on the site. Even when you post the bad trips, you get good feedback so it was still productive. For this trip, I posted a plan to fish Delacroix and the community steered me to the MRGO. If I don’t share my plans, I likely go to Delacroix and who knows…. This is the best fishing community I have been a part of.
