Usually I have my 12 and 10 year old with me and getting them up and out for 3am is a tall task. So that’s why I usually wait until later in the day to take fishing trips. But the hotter it gets like you said the more we need to just make it happen.

In Christmas camp and treasure bay as well as all day I made sure all of us were trying something different. For example, I had on a matrix shad with a 5/16 jig head (which I tried multiple different techniques) while my son had on a popping cork with a marker 54 and his friend had a popping cork with live shrimp on a khale hook.

Not thinking about plan redfish….

I did have some other spots marked on gps that I didn’t take the time to write last night due to the 3 hours of sleep the night before lol.

The kids and I all had a fun time and next time I will use the tools in my toolbox I learned from here to make it a more productive trip! Also, I will start posting my plan prior to going which I see can be extremely helpful!

I’m headed down in the morning with my 12yo and his friend. Planning on the same areas. Modis was a little reflective today so I’m having issues figuring out if there’s clean water close by but I guess we’ll have to go to know. I’m thinking because of the tournament and it being a Saturday, I’m going to launch at Campos. I’ll be in a 23’ proline so feel free to say hi if we pass one another

Planning to go to Hopedale Saturday as well. Was thinking about Comfort Island. Capt. Devin, I am going to have my 12 year old and his friend with me and I’m wondering with the tide rising all the way until 1:30, should I really put much emphasis on launching at daylight with the crowd?
