I had similar results today fishing out of Delacroix fish were dispersed on flats for us. I will post a report later but right now putting together a plan for tomorrow that I want to get out to get feedback. Thinking not Delacroix because the water was pretty dirty.

Shooter I was looking to get on some reds next week. I was looking at Bourne/ICW or Delacroix. Have you had success in Bourne this time of year?

Man that was my backup plan!! Do you have a general strategy for what areas you like to jig? Around drains or angles in the rocks or just start and work your way in one direction?

Thanks for the advice! It makes me nervous to go South of Oak River but I’ll strike on out there.
We plan to start as far out (Point 15) and hit points/flats on our way back in. I am going to pare down the list a little bit tonight but I’ll let you guys know how it goes!

Man my heart is saying to try somewhere new but I LOVE jigging and the proximity makes Lake P tempting. I also haven’t explored a lot of the shell beds/underwater structure there. Shoot me an email: [email protected]

Iirc I have read that it’s very dangerous to leave your vehicle there, regarding break ins. I have launched Bonnable multiple times with no problems.

Made a quick trip with my cousin Friday. There were only about 6 other boats out there.

Man that’s a bummer. That jig bite is my favorite way to fish but joining that circus is a serious PITA.
