Do we think this cold front is going to push the fish deeper? 15 degree drop in air temp :/

My birthday is Thursday and my wife is going out of town on Friday. So I think I’m going to have a birthday weekend fishing Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If any of you fellas are out there, let me know and we can divide and conquer. I was able to find them today, so hopefully this cold front doesn’t blow them out.

Haha all my friends bailed in my and he’s the only one who would go! He’s 13 weeks old and I’m just trying to expose him to as much as possible early. Fella is too damn comfortable in the boat. Life jacket and a tether are a requirement next time.

But I was blown away at how big the fish were and how aggressively they were smashing it today. Especially given that I was there so late and it was so bright. Definitely good omen for Saturday. Not as much pressure to find them early.

I appreciate the info. Just watched your video, today was basically identical to that. All my fish were caught drifting. I was only able to spot lock and fish one spot twice. Definitely bringing the Cajun Anchor Saturday.

Man I appreciate the feedback and i definitely take it all as a learning experience. I love catching but the mental game is more interesting to me. But my report was in no was a big negative. I was getting my ass kicked and walked away with a limit of reds. All good in my book. I’ll figure the speck out out there soon enough.

I “know” shelol beach/Hopedale the best. I feel confident planning a trip to any area and have had success planning in these areas based on reports and conditions. Delacroix is just my white whale. Just seems like I haven’t gone in and hammered South Delacroix exploring like I have other areas. I’ve limited out of Robin and NW Delacroix closer to Sweetwater during the summer. But recently she’s just had my number where I didn’t feel like I planned a trip and got the results I expected.

But today I was doing some self scouting and I think I haven’t done a good job this winter in adjusting to the forage. I have been treating the bite more like a fall pattern and not winter.

That’s actually where I started. I have a feeling that’s where you caught the Last time out and I did well down there too. So much of where I caught last trip was <1.5’ I tried to pick deeper points around 3-5’ and just more reds. No specks. But also not saying I fished it all perfectly.
