Thank you Devin,
I always welcome your advice.
1st question – Trailering – I live outside delcambre, so I will launch from there, its a 7 mile boat ride to the mouth of the bay.
2nd question – Spots – No that is not the only 3 I picked, I have a couple more I have selected depending on the wind if they are able to get too easy. They are more wind-protected on the north side of Shark Bayou in different feeders. There will probably be a lot cleaner water there (usually is), just hard to get to in some wind.
I am fishing with my kids, and testing my new equipment, so I am trying to do that in water I know that is why I am staying here for now.
I really want to get out that way, won’t be a bad road trip, just not with younger kids right now.
Thank you again to you guys for helping.
Trust me I plan on posting lots of pictures of what I see and find on this trip.
I am happy to try my new spot lock trolling motor, and Side Imagining unit.

Thank you, I have been grinding it out.
I am also learning Side scan for the 1st time so I am using areas I know to get it dialed in.
Got it 2 weeks ago. This has been great.
Also rewatching IS101 for the mapping part, learning that in area’s I know.
So great to be able to do that.

Great report, I would love to get over that way this year.
I saw a thought in there that I wanted to ask about.
You said it was almost chocolate milk, but you still fished anyway.
Did you do anything different or was it the same old?
Retrieve, sent, Dark lure color?
in the Vermilion bay, it gets that way a lot, and when the water gets like that I pretty much just go scouting for clean water. Still think there are some fish in some of that chocolate milk.
This is an area I struggle, a lot.
(edit)
Wait, some how I read over all that 2 times.
Wow, that bad.
Never mind. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge

Thank you for another great idea.
I have heard of those, where did you get yours?
-
for $40 that is not a bad deal.
I will take a look into this as well.
Mine was just leaking from where the fill hose meets the outlet of the pump.
So it was dripping and honestly probably would have been fine. Just don’t like leaks into my haul of my boat. Had a bad experience and a little gun-shy.
But that cooler may work to buy live bait the night before we go and keep them alive. Till we get into the water.
