Hey Boyce, thank you so much for posting an intro. You’ve posted some great reports over the years and hope you can do the same here as well. Tight lines!

Yeah, that is/was part of a CPRA project to build new land.
Using that historical timeslider has never been more important now that CPRA has been dredging as much as they have.
The new land in West Bay and outside Neptune/Ostrica is pretty wild, too.
Uhlan Bay should be renamed Uhlan Bayou.

To add to what Kennon said: I also saw a ton of catfish in the shallower water recently. I put a report up for it. I think they’re better eating than the reds and specks anyway. Juglines could be fun. Just don’t run through that shallow stuff on step.
After that, I gotta find the sonar screenshots from last year of redfish on those pilings. You cannot possibly miss them if you’re using sonar.
You’re right, if you kept going you woulda found the Mother Lode. I think I was around piling 175 last year but I cannot recall for sure.
Great report, thanks for posting!

Another Lake P report!
This time last year (like to the day) we were catching them on the powerlines, but launched out of Frenier Landing.
I was just over that way a little while ago looking at the shallow stuff. No reds there. I’m pretty sure they’re all deep.
Great report, thanks for posting!

Hey Jerry, glad to have you here!
PAC is great, I really like those ponds north of the sulphur mine, but I wonder if grass is growing in those ponds with the terracing around the launch. Could be really good for redfish.
Great intro, thanks for posting!

Pathfinder makes a helluva boat. My first bay boat was a 2005 2200v. Many good times in that thing.
I imagine the jetties out of Big Lake have to be good now, if the wind allows. I haven’t been that way in forever, but have heard of some great reports coming out of there.
Anyway, thank you for posting an intro! I hope to see you post again!

Hey Desy, thank you so much for taking time to post an intro.
A center console Bullet is a ridiculously fast boat. I rode in a Bullet bass boat from Chalmette to Hopedale, and we got there in no time at all. We were doing 75 down the MRGO. That thing could move.
Airboats are fun to drive. I drove a couple at the swamp tour behind the market in Westwego. It was a good time, but a lot of locals didn’t think so. lol I don’t blame them, they are loud (but everyone should experience one).
Anyway, thank you so much for posting! Glad you’re here!

That’s a gorgeous sunrise.
I’m thinking dolphins are smart enough to follow your boat. They sure a pain. I have no love for them. lol
But it sounds like you were able to bounce around and make it happen…again!
I heard a report from some buddies that they went out to the rigs and caught a 5-man limit of speckled trout.
It’s pretty obvious the best speckled trout fishing one can do is out that way.
Also, are you posting reports from your phone or a computer? If a phone, has the website been clunky at all?
Great report, thanks for posting!

When I think of where I would want to live to be centrally located to all the good fishing in Louisiana, Belle Chasse is what I think of, especially when the river is low.
I could be crazy, but I think that if the river got low enough, long enough, I think you could catch trout in it. I tried last year but couldn’t find them. Next time.
Anyway, you’re set up in some good spots. Hope you can post a report soon!

Thank you for posting an intro! Look forward to future fishing reports. Tight lines!

That looks like a great boat to fish the outside with. You need to get a sick day and go hit the rigs with that thing. Nice boat!

Well, if you ever come across a great deal on some kinda sidescan sonar, then consider it. It makes finding redfish in deep water pretty simple and adds a whole new element of fun to fishing. I’ll have to post something about the powerlines in the general discussion forum, and using sonar to find redfish there.
