Here is a sight you will never see again: Louisiana dusted in snow. This is a screen grab from this morning’s Geosphere.

Believe me, I’ve struggled with not launching the boat. I want a snow pic, too! lol But there’s work that needs doing.

After that, I haven’t heard of any fish kills, not yet. Hopefully the fish had time to duck out to deeper water.
One thing going for the fish here over the Texas freeze a few years back is that we have more deeper water here and more fresher water. It’s my understanding that fresher water is easier on fish than saltier water when it gets cold. I don’t know why, that’s just what I’ve been told, and it’s no secret that trout push far inside the fresher stuff during winter.

Look at @will-grand reports for LA-1 and drive down there and give it a whack. No boat required. Now is the time to capitalize on that. Don’t dilly dally. When it warms up you may want to consider launching the boat to fish places like The Wall in Chalmette.

All I’ve seen is what Ty’s posted. Well, I assume what he’s posted is the same stuff that he sent me this morning and last night. I don’t use social media, and perhaps now there is some benefit to it. Are you seeing any reports of fish kills?
