Dang brother, crazy ya’ll didn’t catch any more keepers after that. Hopefully they really start moving in soon otherwise I’ll be living at my buddy’s camp down in Venice. He’s taking me Monday and Tuesday to show me a few of his favorite spots. Fingers crossed they are already hot where he likes to go.

Man, you guys sure know how to make someone jealous. I can’t fish until the week of the 17th, but I am pretty sure I will be heading down to Venice. Great catch and nice report. Appreciate you guys

I normally launch from Shell Beach to get there, but yes the majority of that marsh you highlighted is navigable. Check GED and you will see where the embankments drop off so you will know where the deeper channels are located

I’ll be in Lake Lery on Tuesday chasing reds and bass. If you see a red Bass Tracker stop by and say Hi

Oh yes. I’ve been going to Venice quite a bit over the last 2 months with a buddy of mine. He has a camp in Buras and fishes every chance he gets. I haven’t been on here posting because he makes all the plans and scouts pretty much everything out. I haven’t had to put my boat in the water since November. Today is the first time I have gotten on here in weeks if not over a month. We are thinking about getting one more trip in the second weekend of February before calling winter trips over. I got some pictures from our trip 2 weekends ago. 3 man limit of specks each day with some bass sprinkled in here and there.

Hey Cliff, I didn’t see your suggestions until today, but my wife and I did well in Robin. Spot 8 was the hot spot for us. They were more inside the bayou and around the bend than out in the lake. I’ll post a report in a little while when work slacks off.

I have only taken it once and I was not driving, but it was pretty straightforward from what I remember. Since I don’t have all day tomorrow, I will be waiting at the mouth of that cut canal for first light. 18′ Bass Tracker 50 Mercury, if you see me don’t be shy. I’ll be hitting those main tidal highways between Robin and Coquille first until the tide starts moving. If nothing is happening there, then I will start making my circle around the lake.
