Wow, glad to hear you’re alright. That is wild!

Otherwise, awesome report. I hope you have your coworker a hard time after putting everyone on those fish. Great report!

The phenomena of the boats camping out at the Trestles is the 8th Wonder of the World.

The trestles has been getting hammered since October. It will always be a great fishing spot because of what is there, but my goodness the pressure has just been non stop the last 5 months.

I don’t fish it all that often because of that, but on days where you can get it to yourself for a couple of hours, it can be pretty fun.

I look at fishing the bridges of Lake P a lot like the way I look at going to Wal Mart. I don’t really want to go, but at least if I do go, the people watching can be quite entertaining.

Great report. Love seeing a report from Cocodrie! Great fishery. I need to get back over there one of these days. Thanks for posting!

They’ve been leaving the drawbridge at the trestles up for the most part. Hwy 11 bridge opens every so often depending on traffic. You shouldn’t have a problem with them opening it for you when you’re there I wouldn’t imagine.

I was a costa guy forever but recently switched to Bajio. Bajio has been great for me. The most important thing to me is that they’re comfortable. Some sunglasses make my ears and nose sore after wearing them all day because they’re either heavy or fit snug. I haven’t experienced that with Bajio and have been happy with them.

Great report. I assume this was the last hoorah for that road side pattern. I hope to give this a whack next winter.

Awesome trip! It sounds like you and your baitcasters did pretty good with all those trout!

If theres any good thing about terrible wind like that, it’s that it forces you to try things you otherwise wouldn’t look at. Like fish spots just because you have nothing but time to kill. I tried to get back deep into those ponds but I kept getting stuck. I put my trolling motor through hell in those things. I just couldn’t ever find the channel to get back up in there.

I have green lenses. I’ve always heard green for inshore water, blue for offshore water, and so on and so forth. I don’t know how true that is. I have always had blue lenses and have been able to see into the water just fine. The green lenses are great, but I don’t really notice a difference in them.

That’s a great theory that I agree with. I’ll be hitting Delacroix soon.

Lol, yeah man being without your boat is brutal. I feel your pain. I’m glad you got her back though! Just in time for what will hopefully be a good spring.
