Update on the rod situation:
The rods I broke were a 6’4 Matrix Casting Rod and a 6’3 Daiwa Casting Rod
Gus’ Tackle in Slidell said he would replace my Matrix Rod for $60 and send the broken one back to Fitzgerald. That’s a win and shoutout to Gus for the excellent customer service!

The last two times I launched out of MG, there were people fishing around the marina when I came back too. I know very little about MG, but I guess all that marsh near the camps has to drain to the main canal so they stack up?
Shoutout for helping out the stranded boater too. That’s what it’s all about.

The only one I can personally attest to would be Vinots by Fort Pike. My father in law kept his boat there for several years and what I liked about it was how wide the docks were between the slips. I also liked that it had a gate and you get a key. You were pretty much the only person there any time you fished. Being next to Fort Pike, it’s easy to quickly run to the bridges or go the opposite way into Lake Borgne or the Biloxi Marsh, which we did all the time.
Another one that looks nice is Chef Harbor Marina down by Chef Pass. It has been nicely renovated and all the slips look brand new.

Sorry to hear about you getting rear ended! Between that and the boat in Venice motoring 2 ft from you while you were fishing (great video by the way, love the long form), you’ve had some bad luck dealing with some special people.

I like all of the Simms clothing. I have a Simms CX hoodie that is the warmest hoodie I’ve ever owned. I can wear just that and be fine most of the time. I’ve also got an insulated rain jacket from Simms that is incredibly warm too. Granted they are a little pricier, but you get what you pay for and in my opinion it’s worth spending a little extra to stay warm.

Yeah, the river being is not making me happy! Although my brother and his friends have still be hammering the trout in Venice.
I think a MG or Dularge video would be awesome! I don’t know that I’ve seen any content from Dularge from you, so I would be intrigued to see it
