I get it. A bay boat is a perfect inshore boat. But the trolling motor…. What are you going to do? The Garmin Kraken looks pretty incredible.

West may still be worth a shot. I mean I couldn’t fish EVERY rig out there. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they were stacked up on some. I bet they can be caught at Casse Tete too. I would work that harder if I went again.

Just be mindful of the shoals around the edges of the islands. Especially east of Timablier and west of Belle Pass.
