Man, what a grind. Sounds about like how MANY of my Venice trips have gone. You seemed to be in the right areas looking for Trout. I’m pretty surprised you didn’t find any. I have been wondering about Garden Island Bay and the beach at the end of Pass A Loutre, so thank you for reporting back.

Another area I’ve been wanting to check out is the Gulf side between Baptiste Collette and Main Pass. I want to say your last trip you sorta headed out that way, but were looking for redfish. I think the beach at the end of Main Pass can be good, and theres some rigs out there off Main Pass that I’ve been wanting to try, just not sure how deep they are.

How was the run through Garden Island Bay? Sketch city? Or did you just swing out wide and run through the deep gulf water?

Mighty fine indeed. Just a bit further South at the end of Dead Women Pass, theres another little beach with some serious cane stubble thats looking juicy. Man, I gotta get to Venice.
