I had the same experience on my last 2 successful trips. First 2 casts would be nicer fish then mostly dinks. It would take 10-15 piles of birds to find a 2 man limit.

I think we have one of the largest populations of dolphins in the world down there!

For Lafitte, the easiest way is just taking the main channel out through Mud Lake. Ill post a route if you need one.

There was a 2 week stretch I couldn’t fish because my son is on so many sports teams. We travel a bunch and it was a hectic stretch but I’m back on track now!
