I was going to fish this morning but I expected a tough day. High Tide was early morning. Those definitely make for tough days once it peaks. I guess i got lucky, my coangler son wasn’t feeling well so we didnt go. Thanks for the report!

Your plan looks good to me. I have tracks all through your spots. I didnt fish close to banks but that could produce as well. Look for birds early morning that are working. There will be plenty of them in the area just flying around but not actually on bait. We found corks to be the best with whatever your favorite lure is under them. Look for oyster reefs. There are a bunch of boats working that will tip them off. As far as navigating, I didnt do much planning but I was cautious and stayed way from land while running and everything seemed pretty deep. I entered from the big opening west of spot 9. It’s hard to pick spots this far out because we dont know what wind will be like.

I for one can not wait to hit Venice! I’ve learned alot from Lafb and once you figure out how to apply it, it really is easy. Of course there are still bad trips but they are few and far between. The road map is there, we just have to follow it!

I was definitely running to Grand Isle last year. It has been longer than I can remember honestly! I’m loving it though!!

At this point, I think he wants to go more than I do and that is just crazy! He skipped all summer camps for more fishing this year! I got lucky with this dude for sure!!
