It’s been proven to me by an old man that I fish socalait with that pressure does matter for them specifically. However, some days when I got fish trout, he calls me to tell me the pressure is real high or low and my reply is and always will be…”Fuck that pressure Leo!” I catch trout almost every time he tells me the fish won’t bite based on pressure. With that being said, we have learned to not even think about fishing socalait on days where the pressure isn’t right.

Preparation is key! If I can’t prep the night before, I just leave 30 min earlier to give time for fuel and breakfast on the way to the launch.

Just applying what I learn here and leaning on the reports I see to make a plan. Honestly, without this group I would have never fished that area. This community helps boost confidence in plans, routes and techniques.

I really do enjoy solo trips. I tend to fish alot different when I’m solo. If I was to cut out fishing buddies that bail, I would only have maybe 2 guys to take 🤣, mostly because 98% of the trips i take are during the week when most cant go. Usually those excuses start with, “You’re not going to believe this!”
I will be in Venice this year when the river gets right this time. I missed out last year and I regret it big time.
