With that being said, I have some guides I know that I wouldn’t consider as close as you described your relationship with your guide friend. When we talk, I ask them or they ask me, ” How has the fishing been?” Sometimes, they or myself elaborate and sometimes it’s a quick answer. These guys know I don’t need their spots because they see me at the dock with fish and they see me out on the water.

Which guide boats were at the dock when you got back that had trout? I saw a few on my runs that day. I also overheard them on my Saturday trip saying how little gas they burned…I have a feeling they are fishing out of Bayou Dupont into Bay Round.
I had a feeling that was you when I passed by. One of my reports, I talk about catching over 100 keepers on a solo trip and all of my kept trout were 16″+. I was parked on the other side of the underwater rocks by the piling as you were, fishing the rocks and the point. The area you passed me the second time you saw me, I fish from there, 200 yards north all in the tidelines. I do well there all summer long usually.
Maybe on my next trip, I’ll try further in around 3 bayou some more. These fish have me stumped right now for sure. When all this wind dies back down I’ll get back out there and continue the hunt.

How do those jigheads in your picture hold onto baits? I love death grip but I wish they had an eye on them.

Long lines of women, teenagers and pale guys are the absolute worst 😂😂😂

I wonder if we have the same honey hole 😂

I saw that as well. Tons of reds in Texaco as well.

I feel like there are not any fish really holding in areas. What I mean is, they are just passing through when you catch them. Same conditions the next day and they may be gone from an area that you caught at the day before. These fish have me stumped. I have no excuses for yesterday. Normally there is something to blame a bad trip on…you know how us anglers are. The wind…the tide…dirty water…yesterday was good in every way with the exception of overcast, but i started super early to get a jump on that too.

I tried sooo hard to get you the $$ 😂😂😂

I was thinking the LAFB Elite logo. It’s a conversation starter that could lead to more members of our community.

I’m not, but I’ll familiarize myself. I order a bunch of football helmet decals from a company as well. Can you email me a good copy of the file? [email protected]

Would you mind me taking the lead on this? I have alot of time on my hands and could do the leg work for you.

I agree, notice I didn’t post mine either lol. Hopefully I run into you out there. Ill be in a black and white blazer bay, solo.

I just noticed your question. I really rather fish out of Lafitte Harbor. The launch is nicer. The store has tons of hardware and other stuff you may need for the boat as well as hot breakfast sandwiches. There are nice bathrooms with showers right by the launch in the event you ever have somewhere to go after and need to save time. They are also not near as busy as Joe’s so there is always room at the cleaning table when i get back. They have spent a boatload of money fixing the place up so I’ve been trying to support them.

This is exactly what I hope for. Divide and conquer!!
