What malice said is correct, but you can totally do Chandy from Hopedale.
I would only do it when the wind is absolutely, positively 100% going to lay down.
As for fishing spots…well, Chandy is a big place. And just like anywhere, I would find things there that are different and stand out. Sand vs shell vs grass, shallow vs deep, stuff like that.
Big points, flats, ledges, islands, sunk islands, rigs, all that 101 stuff. Then I’d pick out about a dozen of these spots and fish them all to find the Mother Lode.
There you go. That’s it. That’s what I would personally do.
But there’s more: I would post that plan here and let us look at it. There may be a glaringly obvious flaw in your plan that myself or someone else could point out. But if you never make it, you’ll never know.
Also, I would do my navigational homework there. It’s easy to get stuck on a sandbar out there. Ask me how I know 🙂
