This is the time of year to whale on big, fat, summer speckled trout. Not grind throwbacks. Not catch a bunch of fish that barely measure.
There’s no reason why one cannot get on drag-pulling, cast for cast, fat speckled trout action.
That wind just needs to cooperate!!! That’s all! The dang wind!!
I will say that sight fishing redfish is a second if the wind isn’t playing nice. I’d rather jig/topwater some hammer trout, though. Beat the heat!
