I’d do Black Bay Saturday. I would not go there in the dead of the July heat and expect anything other than a boat ride.
I wouldn’t necessarily expect to find cleaner water nearer the river, but I would expect to see more grass mats, with dirty water on one side and clear water on the other.
The best kind you can find is the kind with a channel between the grass mat and the shoreline. Absolute jackpot for redfish.
