    I don’t know how this got past me. I’m so sorry, this is a great trip I would’ve loved to give some feedback on before hitting the water.

    Maybe try tagging me with an @ in the future.

    But, with all that said, it looks like you’ve got it figured out.

    I like how you’re paying attention to the salinity. But, if it were me, I’d feel better if it were “salty enough” for awhile for fish to to establish themselves there.

    With that said, I have caught summer specks in lower salinity water (12ppt) leading me to believe that they don’t all spawn at the same time, and may even spawn anyway in lower salinity water.

    If it were me in a boat like yours, I’d be punching deep into Chandy Sound.

    I hear you: launching from Mississippi is way easier than driving alllll the way down to Hopedale Marina (especially if Pat Turner is in a mood). I have made that run many times, launching from Pass Christian and going all the way to Gosier and Central Rig, and it was worth it every time.
