“I did learn a whole new area of Louisiana that I know has fish”
This is what it’s about: the long term game.
Let me consult my crystal ball: ah yes, this fall Delacroix will turn on with keeper specks while Hopedale and Biloxi Marsh are Throwback City.
This fall you will want to catch those fish and this fall you will have tracks taking you to them.
The people who refuse to do this homework because they’re scared to come out of their comfort zone won’t have this benefit.
They’ll just go to Biloxi Marsh or the same spots in Shell Beach or (heaven forbid) The Wall as if the river wasn’t high for ten years and has been down for the last five.
“bUt tHaT’s wHerE uH cAuGht ‘eM”
Well, not anymore. River is down.
That and you can still get on redfish (far more redfish) than you can in Shell Beach/Rigolets/Wall/Biloxi Marsh.
You did the right thing. Excellent work.
