Man, I would’ve stuck with bass/redfish if I didn’t get after speckled trout (especially starting from scratch) first thing in the morning, and starting out about 35-40 miles east of Chef as well.

It sounds like the rigs in Lake Borgne may be off the table this summer. I just haven’t seen or heard any good action out there. The salinity doesn’t seem to be there, either.
Black Bay and Stone Island on the other hand…I would go investigate there. Rigs and islands.
